Kopernio is a free browser plugin that finds the best available PDF of an academic article while you browse. Behind the scenes, Kopernio will search open databases and (where possible) your university's subscriptions to find the best version of the paper for you.
Depending on your workflow here are a couple of ways Kopernio can optimise your research:
- When you do a literature search on PubMed, Web of Science, JSTOR or 20,000 other academic websites Kopernio will try to find the full-text PDF version for you. To access the full-text PDF just click on the Kopernio button in the bottom left corner of your screen.
- The Export Reference button in your PDF viewer will download a RIS file which is compatible with reference managers like EndNote, Zotero or Mendeley.
- There’s also a quick search feature to help you save time searching for journal articles on Web of Science or PubMed. To begin your search just click on the Kopernio button located next to your browser’s address bar and type keywords such as title, author or DOI of academic papers.
You will be redirected to your search provider's platform for the results.
